Are You Afraid of Being BORED Picking Just 1 Niche?

How do you stay excited about working with the same types of clients every day?

Hey it's Grayson stopping by…

My heart is feeling full this morning…

Just celebrated my 4 year anniversary with my wife, Sam.

(We're not exactly the candle-lit dinner types… we spent the evening at the county fair eatin' Gyros and just about every type of deep-fried dessert we could get our hands on 🙂

This got me thinking about a conversation I had with a client recently…

She was a new client struggling to pick her niche…

And where she kept getting hung up was…

…every time she thought she had it figured out…

She would immediately start worry she would get bored working with ONLY those types of clients.

So I asked her…

“You've been with the same husband for quite a few years… are you bored of him yet?”

And with a bit of a chuckle she replied “No of course not… I'm more in love with him now than ever!”

Picking a niche is a bit like picking a spouse…

When we commit to 1 niche (or 1 person), we start to see the nuances that we hadn't noticed before.

…the little things that make them happy…

…the little things that annoy them…

Like when I started dating Sam and I would buy her flowers…. she couldn't care less…

…but if I came home with a bottle of wine and some sour patch kids I'd score some major brownie points 🙂

You may be surprised that I had the same concerns when I was deciding to only work with Dietitians and Nutritionists…

I thought to myself “Won't I get bored only working with them?”

But (luckily) I QUICKLY discovered that no 2 practitioners are alike… no 2 programs are alike… no 2 practices are alike…

…there's a TON of variety within the niche.

And when you pick a niche and get really good at solving 1 specific problem…

I'm confident you'll learn to love all the nuances of who you're working with.

Cheering for you,

Grayson
